General
- User ID
- Type your ID in this field. It will be used as a default ID for new segments.
- Connection to
- Choose the auxiliary OpenOffice interface to connect to if you wish to translate file formats that are not directly supported by CafeTran.
- Spell checker
- Choose a spell checker. Hunspell is the default spell checker. You may also use OpenOffice spell checker if CafeTran is connected to the OpenOffice interface.
- Browser
- Select a Web browser for displaying Internet resources. The System browser selection tells the program to use the external browser installed in your operating system.
- Java FX
- Starting from Java 6, CafeTran is able to use the new internal Java FX Web browser. You need to click the Java FX button and locate the Java FX library (the jfxrt.jar file) in your system. If run on Java 7, CafeTran finds the Java FX library automatically.
- Billing
- Click the Billing button to specify your billing rate. It will be used by the Statistics function.
- Segmentation editor
- The field lets you choose segmentation for your source document. You may choose either one of the predefined segmentation rules or a segmentation .srx file which enables to edit segmentation rules in the Segmentation editor. If a segmentation .srx file is selected, press the Segmentation editor button to edit the segmentation rules for your source language.
- Segmentation Rules
- When a segmentation .srx file is used for setting segmentation rules, choose here the rules used for your source language. In most cases, CafeTran selects the correct language rules automatically based on the source language set in the Project.
- Segment at all tags
- Tick the box if you wish to force segmentation of the source document at every tag.
- Text shortcuts
- Select a file containing the target language shortcuts specified by the Text shortcuts function.
- Placeables
- The field displays a regular expression that determines some constant characters (e.g. numbers) which can be transfered quickly from the source segment to the target segment by the Transfer placeables function. You can edit this field to specify custom placeables.
- Characters for removal
- The field displays the characters that are removed by the Remove defined characters function. Use the pipe character | to separate the defined characters in the list.
- Project page size (units)
- Set a number of translation units visible in one Project page of the segments grid. The page is refreshed when each next segment is edited in the target segment box.
- Segment Timer Mode
- The selection determines the phase of translation for which the Segment Timer is set on. The Review selection lets you read the translated segments without the need to press the Next segment button. The Translation selection makes it possible to create each next segment without the need to press the Next segment button.
- Timer delay (millisec)
- Specify how long each segment is displayed in the CafeTran editor when the Segment Timer function is activated.
- RESET button
- Pressing this button resets all CafeTran settings to default values. You need to restart the program to take effect.
- OK button
- Press this button to accept changes in CafeTran options and close the Options window.
- CANCEL button
- Press this button to discard any changes and close the Options window.
